Where did you get the locking cap? I really think I should get those for my truck seeing as how a lot of vehicles have been messed with in the parking lot for our dorm.
I believe your cap should be the none vented for the vapor recovery. My 89 has all non vented and I've had a Check Engine light come on due to the cap not being on. I bought a pair of them at PEP Boys while in California on a job this year. I've also seen them at Schucks and the dirty word (Auto Zone).
They are keyed, Some stores have multipacs of 2 keyed alike or you can take them to a locksmith and get them rekeyed. I'm stuck in Chicago working now so you know I have them locked.
havent had a ses light on but i'm pretty sure the stock ones where vented. i work as a service advisor for an auto shop and with all our vehicle info on the computer i still cant find if that year had vented or non-vented.funny thing is my 90 1/2 ton was non vented but my 96 was. anybody have a diagram for the fuel system componants with illustrations? all i have is componant locations and my fuel delivery system is not anything i have diagrams for.
