okay i havent been here since may but my ranger still sits idle next to my garage. The reason being i bought a 87 mustang for the summer months here in minn. Now winter approaches quickly and I still am without my snow eating 4x4 black ranger. I junked a 85 bronc 2 for the man trans but its to short and way more work than i planned for the time being. I s'pose i should tell u that i wanted the manual tranny cause of the previous 4 a4lds i put in. NO I Aint easy on it but thats why im looking for alternatives. the last one smoked like crazy and leakeded fluid like me after a twelve pack . My truck sits tranny less now but ready for me to do SOMETHING. I guess my question is can I get away with new mounting bolts ( seal seems okay to my naked eye) and torque converter? I still had all gears this time but dropped it cause of the leak. I just need it to work for a couple months till tax time or something . plan to still go manual but want a tranny that will swap easier. Unless i missed something with the bronc 2 tranny ( i.e. it will work perfectly with a certain drveshaft / bellhousing combo) I will probably just go with the current a4ld crap for now . just looking for some oppinions or advice or just plain straight out answer. thanks for letting me share my dilemia.
