My son has a re-built 69 F250 (390),,,we are having this weekly running chat about hwta is the best carb for an engine like this. My oldest son put on a edelbrock 4 barrel, and now my youngest wants a Holly. I say leave it alone...9 miles per gallon is all you'll get anyway... anyway what about the old triple duces or the dule 4 barrels?
which is your question best carburator or best induction system?
I like the stock motorcraft/2100/2150 carbs due to the fact that they are very easy to work on and you can even remove the top of the carborator while still on the engine and actually run the engine ( at idle)
I also like holleys , i know how to tune them .
I would like to try out an edlebrock carb but i am reluctant to do so because I am so comfortable with holleys.
If some one GAVE me a edelbrock I would play with it.
