Does anyone know the best place to get a front end rebuid kit for a 89 Bronco?
Is it best to buy a kit, or to just buy the parts that are bad? What kind of price am I looking at?
Thanks all!!
I don't think there's a kit -- you just buy the parts one-by-one. I don't know what's wrong with your front end, but certain parts like ball joints are somewhat difficult to replace without the right tools.
Ball joints are a pain the first time around. I paid $70 for both uppers and lowers for both sides. I took apart the knuckles myself but took them in to a machine shop with the new ball joints to have them do the pressing in and out. They charged about $30 for all 4.
of course $30 is a good deal to get 4 ball joints pressed... but I look at each repair as a reason to buy a new tool . Harbor Freight has a nice hydraulic press for $149, and my ball joints need to be replaced. I think it might work good on my spring bushings too
