300 dies
i don,t know much about it but my friends 90 f150 with a 300 i6 heeps stalling out and wont start back up. it started last night on his way to see his girlfriend. he thought the distributor got wet because it was raining. but hen it did it again today on his way to his girlfriends. we dent to get it this mornin and it fired right up. we drove it all day out hunting. then he dropped me off to go see his girl and it died 100 yards from her house.i havent checked it to see if its getting gas or if its firing yet i'll check that all out later but does anyone have any ideas. i was thinking maybe the module on the side of the distributor could be going bad. he put a new cap wires and rotor on it about 10k miles ago. its an auto w/od. and its been causing it to stall too but i think thats the tc

My 300 did the same thing. The P.I.P. sensor in the distrubuter was bad. The dist. was new, only 20.000 miles on it. First I would say hook it up and pull codes. I got a good/cheap code puller for $26 and saved alotta work. The indication about my sensor going bad was the RPM's would drop to zero bounce back up and down then eventually die. Could not re-start. It was like someone flipping a switch off and on.
