Dynomax Header Part #, Price, Dimensions
Dynomax Headers (2) Dual outlet, 3 into 1, 1.5" tube, 2.5" Collector
Part number 85065 1 year replacement warranty
$208.88
with local 7% tax $223.50 out the door
The box says 2wd only
I can tell you you can ignore this for 80-86 F150 4WD
They bolted up EASILY to my 1980 F150 4WD
No exhaust leaks. No bending of flanges/tubes was required
Next time the Advance Auto zeebs laugh at you for trying to get headers for the 300, give them the part #, show them that they're full of #@!%&! and offer to drag their smallblock V8 around the parking lot after you get them installed.
John
Hope this helps you guys. Maybe I got lucky, but they have been on the truck for one year and they are better headers that the ones they replaced.
Installed on:
309 cubic inch Ford
.060" overbore to clean up pits in the cylinder walls. Head was gone, cylinder bores full of water on block in junkyard
390 Holley w/Clifford water heated carb spacer
C series Offenhauser intake. If this manifold costs low speed torque it's hard to see it on this motor. It is Torquezilla, and the motor will lug off the line at 400-500 rpm easily with very little throttle.
Head milled to increase compression in conjunction with overbore
Ports/head smoothed up but not enlarged
Stock cam retained, low speed torque important
Dual exhaust w/fairly small mufflers
Motor will beat my '93 EFI 300 at bottom end torque (easily) has several hundred more useable rpm at the top end and a just plain fatter powerband overall. Win/win situation all around.
When I get another 300 I'll do it just like this one, but less on the overbore. Made a great truck engine even better.
The price has gone up somewhat. Seems to me I paid about 190 dollars a year ago, but I'll have to dig up the receipt to verify that.
