Anyone know of an aftermarket downpipe that doesn't require beating the firewall to make it fit? I would like to go to a 3.5" with a 4" outlet, but it there's a 4" that requires no beating that would be better. Not planning on tractor pulls or anything, but mainly wanting to eliminate the pancake pipe before I get a tuner or chip. Thanks.

 

With your year I would count on it. I bought a 3" to 3.5" from Motorhaven it was a two peice deal and did very minimal beating to the firewall.

 

on that down pipe its just getting that pinch weld pushed down is all it is floor jack and a 2x4 worked good on it for me

 

put ya a body lift on the truck, i got a 3 inch body lift and more than enough room for my 3 inch down pipe that i built myself
