SPARK PLUGS

I am anticipating changing my spark plugs this weekend.
1997 ranger XLT 2.3L 4 cyl. 8 plugs.
Do I have to remove the intake manifold? Or, would I be crazy not to?

Thanks Paul.

Don't take off the intake. You can access all the plugs using a universal joint between the socket and the ratchet. Some plugs are easier than others, but you can get to all of them. You might need
an assortment of short and long extensions between the universal and the ratchet.

How'd that plug replacement go? I'm doing the same to a 98 2.5 and I just pulled the manifold. It costs an extra gasket or two, but comes off fairly easily. Also, did you use Motorcraft plugs, and if not, how's it running?
Thanks, CB
