CEL/ PO171 code on 4.0L update
HI just wanted to follow up on above problem and thank Ken00 for his help I cleaned the MAF and intake housing with Gunk intake cleaner and CEL has not come on since thanks again Mike

CEL/ PO171 code on 4.0L update
I just posted an ad about a code 171 . I replaced my MAF sensor so I'm sure it's clean . Could you please be more specific about cleaning the housing with gunk ? Do you mean the tube connecting the air filter with the intake ? If you mean the housing behind the butterfly valve , how do you go about it ? Take it off ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated , I need to get to the bottom of this problem . I love my truck and DO NOT want to sell it !!!!!!!!!! Thanks .... Rick
