No lock-up in cold.
Now when temp is around freezing-point, I start the truck and drive away, the tq-converter does not lock-up until I drive some miles, stop and go again then it goes in lock-up. Why?

I think the trucks with electronic tc lock up will inhibit the lock function until the engine/trans is sufficiently warm( for good driveability) I think there is a trans temp sensor to control this - not sure tho.

T.O.T or transmission oil temperture built into the soliniod block tells the ECU what the fluid temp is. at around 140 or 160 deg. F the ECU will comand T/C lockup at the appropiate time.
