Vacuum Modulator Hose

I'll bet that you didn't connect the vacuum modulator back up when you did the manifold switch. Go to the back end of the transmission, find the modulator and vac hose, and follow it up to the back of the engine. You will probably find that it dropped out of site and never got connected.

Other than the problems you describe, how does it run now? Carb? 2bbl or 4?

My '83 351W will possibly get an upgrade from the VV carb to a 4bbl, and a manifold in the spring. Want to hear how it has gone for other trucks.

When you say Electronic Overdrive Transmission do you mean AOD. If thats the case them you didn't get the TV cable adjusted correctly

Does the AOD Tranny require the vacuum be hooked up? My 84 F150 has a hose that is capped off coming from the tranny. Dad says it needs it but does it? And if needed, can I connect a hose from one of the vacuum trees?
