abs light

i have 97 f150 4x4 and the abs light came on and it would'nt let me put in gear and i also don't have brake lights.any ideas!

Hi and welcome to the forum

Have you checked all the fuses? A blown fuse can cause that.
If the fuses are ok then I would check for broken wires near the brake light switch on the pedal.

thanks for your reply, i did check the fuses and i'm getting it checked at the dealers, cause everything that i checked myself looked okay. i'm wondering if it is a sensor.
