I bought a stepside shortbox 2wd tonight-- the first thing I noticed was the interior had the orange bezel pieces around the glove compartment and drivers side and black/orange door panels- at this point I knew the truck was coming home and those items would go on the crew but....
I question though did Ford ever make a Pace Truck package stepside 2wd? I have never seen one. I believe it has the factory mags with the Ford centers. The truck if it is original is NOT painted the scheme- as it is all black. I just cant believe some one would of went through all the work of putting the dash pieces, mags and panels on to another truck? Would the vin say anything or any other way to know??
Does anyone have pics, or can direct me to them. Or info if there was indeed a 2wd stepside pace truck.
Thanks.

I don't know a whole lot about the different Freewheeling packages, but I have seen a couple in person. I believe the Pace Truck package just modified the Freewheeling package with different colors. The Freewheeling trucks I saw were older than my Indy truck but had idential interiors just like you stated. They were were style sides and had the exterior graphics in the same location as the Indy truck, but had chromatic colors instead of black with the racing stripes. I do know that the Freewheeling trucks were available with a black exterior.
I have some photos in my gallery if you want to compare yours to the Indy truck.
