Tubes/Running Boards

I have an 04 F-150 FX4, supercab, 5.5' bed and I'm looking to add black tubes. I've found Dee Zee tubes through Bass Pro Shops, but they don't seem to have any specifically for the 5.5' bed. Does the bed size make a difference if I don't go tire to tire?

Does anyone recommend a particular set of tubes? I'm expecting to install them myself.

I have an SCAB with 6.5 bed. I have black DeeZees. I put them on and they dont have any mounting points on the bed. All mounting points are on the cab body so you should be OK. Piece of cake to install. Check out my gallery for pics.
