EFI engine

hey, while scrounging around a junkyard a couple of days ago I came upon an EFI engine (300 6 of course), no head or intake. would I be able to put a carburated head and intake on it. if so, would there be any benefits with the EFI pistons and crank. There are only 30,000 miles on it and has been sitting protected in the back of a van. The junkyard is going out of bisness so I could probably get it for between 35 and 50 bucks.

You can use the early heads and carb intake and many have done conversions using a carb and intake to a late long block. There is not much difference in the short block assembly block, crank, pistons & rods. I don’t know if the cam profile is different or not but don't think so. The main difference was the combustion chamber of the 1988 up heads and the fuel injection system.
