Please do not post in the thread titled "Anyone interested in starting a Virginia chapter?" All Virginia Chapter discussions should now be posted within this thread until the Virginia Chapter forum opens up.
This thread is only to discuss new buisness, I will request all posts that deal with what has happened over the past couple days to be removed. That situation is over and it's time to move on, we have to many other things to do then to sit here arguing over what happened.
I plan on investigating a rattling noise under my truck. I suspect a lose tranny mount or exhuast pipe clamp is lose. Its a rather hard rattle, not like some lose wire or cable. I also plan on running out to Hampton to check out a c6/np205 combo.
As for snow, I predict a couple of inches of slush in the Beach area. We had real snow last year, this year I think it will stay fairly warm (above freezing).

I plan to change the oil and filter on my F250 (and of course check/change air filter etc.) and see if I can track down where the heck my coolant is going!
Franken-Truck - my Explorer has a rattle that I understand is the catalytic converter shield - the welds seem to come loose on those things. The fix is a couple of strap type clamps around it. (Hmm....maybe I'll get to that this weekend too.)
Stutterstan - why are you having to retorque the undercarraige bolts?
Snow - last I heard, we shouldn't get much snow at all in the Tidewater area.
You know, that might be a fun thing to plan - a "play in the snow day" once we get a good snow somwhere - and if someone can find a good spot for us to all go "practice" handling our 4x4's in the snow.
Well...I wish it were more amusing and interesting like my friday night wheeling incident last week but...
Went down to meet the ex in Charlottesville to pick up my kids for the weekend and well...counting to 10 may have been in order BEFORE releasing the passenger seat lever and subsequently breaking an already worn retainer cable through the use of unnecessary forward force.
OK...I got PO'd at her about something she said and flung the seat forward which broke the cable and allowed the top of the seat back to hit the windshield.
Looks like someones head hit it just above the dash.

Well, this is amusing, though you are right, last week's episode was funnier (to read about - not to experience, I'm sure!) But you know, you have promise. I look forward to hearing what you do next week!
bigbronco88 , have seen the deer around here , i live in Manassas & thay are realy dark gray w/ alot of black on them . my grandfather told years ago that was a sign of colder than normal winter because deer roam at night & bed down at day time & the dark colors heat up there body . I just hope we don't get another George Washington's Snow Storm 3' & more in one night is a killer. Don
I'm on the hunt for a nice (large) roll a way tool chest with ball bearing slides, and will attempt to gain entry into Costco to check out the stainless steel tool chests that were described in a different thread. The heating oil delivery man just left, and my garage furnace is ready for the cold weather. I had to change the starter AND battery in the '84 Ranger last evening, so now all I have to do is finish up a few small projects in the garage. If there is a get-together this weekend, call me at 469-7942, and I'll be there.
well my oil pan is rusty and I plan on getting under there and see if I can do something for it till I get a new pan. Also I plan on changing the oil in my car so I don't have to worry about freezing my perfectly good organs off in the winter.
