Jim, sorry it has taken so long. My computer had program conflicts and had to tear it down and scrub the hard drive. Then I have had problems for a few weeks getting on. Is there a problem with band width here? I constantly get "server down" mesgs. Anyhow, I will provide picts as soon as I can get them downloaded, but here is the VIN ID. E1OSH483553 This is a 1963 Econoline P/U, 3 window, with a 140 I6, 3-speed on the floor. This truck was a federal purchase for the parks dept. I purchased this truck for $800.00. Come to find out the engine is very strong although small cu in. I found a 200 I6 and am having it remanned. Please be patient, I am fighting a remission of MS. Happy Thanksgiving to all here! God Bless!
Jim;
No govt info, was hoping but none available. It did come with some news letters from a "econoline organization" (club), lots of specs and info for econos 61 thru 67 if any one needs it. Even shows how to put in electric windows. I went to start this thing and the fan ate the radiator, guess I will start with putting in an electric fan! I will get the pics ASAP.
Jim, the last owner was Drew Lander of Lake Isabella, CA. He owns a printing business there. Right now I have to drive 150 miles round trip to go get this thing registered. Our local DMV is being renivated. Are you familiar with the names; Jay Long or Brian Cochrane? They had the "econoline organization" news letters in the 80's. I have about a hundred pages of info for the econoline, ID, replacements, brake swaps from a mustang, engine swaps,installing power windows, and much more. If you have any questions on any of this I can fax you copies.
Jim and Dennis, my son is the newest owner of a 65 Econoline and I'm interested in learning as much as I can about the vehicle to help him out. I was researching the VIN on line when I came across your postings. I am also interested in the specs and info you mentioned Jim, if that was an open offer. Otherwise, if either of you could point out any information sites I should check out or advice you might have on maintaining this vehicle I would be grateful.
