has developed some sort of transmission fluid leak. It seems that it is spraying transmission fluid all over the undercarriage and frame of the truck. Seems that a hose is leaking because I don't see any transmission fluid coming straight out of the transmission.
This is the 2nd transmission this truck has had. This transmission has about 40,000 miles on it and the truck has 50,000. The transmission shifts pretty hard also, though not all the time.
It could be from the cooler lines, or a seal. Does it seem to be a spray from someting rotating or from something just squirting it out. What area of the frame, I'll look under my 2000 3.0 SC to see whats there.
The area is all across the frame (total width of truck)between the bed and the transmission so its about a 3x6ft area where the fluid is leaking,it looks like someone sprayed tranny fluid all over down there its even driping from spots.
I looked into your problem and you might find this TSB to be your problem. I would keep an eye on the fluid level until you get this repaired.
