Transmission bolts

2000 ford ranger 2.5, 2wd, 5 speed manual.

I need the partnumber for the bolts (screws) that hold the transmission to the engine bellhousing. MOst of mine have fallen off. I am afraid to remove one for sizing because I think only 2 are still inplace.

My ford service manual does not even show the bolts and when i called the parts dept at ford they don't list those parts.

if a partnumber is not known then just knowing the size might be helpful. the dealer told me it should be at least a Grade 8 bolt.

Hi,

As a last resort put a jack under the tranny to support the weight and pull one of the existing bolts so you can get the size.

Good luck,
Lee
