Please Help
I have a 96 F350 Crew 4X4 my issue is that when i am switched to front tank truck will idle but has no power and cuts out when i try to accelerate. If I switch to back tank truck runs great, but when i am running it on back tank front tank will eventualy back up with fuel and it will start to drip out of front gas cap. This truck has 150,000 plus miles and only work it ever needed was heads re-done. I keep up with regular maintinece. I am thinking it is a fuel pump issue or the (cross over module?) Anyone else had this issue or know what may be wrong? Thanks for the help

Sounds like a fuel pump to me. I had the rear pump replaced a few years ago on my 96. If I remember correctly, it had the same symptom you had--I would switch it, it would run for a bit and die on me. I don't think mine was dripping out of the cap though.

Seems like on some models there was a Recall to install check valves to keep one tank from filling the other. Mine's a '90 and I had it done, but I don't know if yours may have been governed by the Recall. Might check with your dealer and get him to run your VIN and see if were in that. Just a thought.
