Ok, so it was dark on the way home and I don't have an owners guide when I picked up my new truck. I noticed on the end of the Transmission lever there was an Overdrive Cancel indicator but I couldn't find a switch. Where is it???
LOL... erm that would be nice but since I am in the UK and the Bronco was in CA it was kinda difficult. I had an agent in CA who found it for me but it was his word that was the only info I had (and some photos). Am very please so far with it although its been crap weather since I got it on Tuesday eve (We had our first snow today!).
So far the only issues are:
Failed lamps in rear highlevel "cargo lights"
Drivers door skin loose - new fittings needed.
Leak from power steering box
Varying idle speed - probably needs a good tuneup accoring to the Haynes book of lies.
Damn good clean!
My main priority is to get the lights altered to meet UK regs but this is hard work with the weather. Will have to wait to weekend and daylight I think so I won't have it on the road as quickly as I had hoped.
I took the Kelsey Brake controller off this eve as we don't have compatible trailers in the UK and am trying to identify the Viper alarm as it is delinquent.
I've ordered an owners manual but in the mean time... regarding the o/d off switch - should this illuminate the "off" at the end of the lever when in drive but at slow speeds/ stationary and I press the button? At what speed would O/d become operational such that I could turn it off - I guess at about 50-70 mph?
