What are you running for exhaust ?
Increses in mileage ar noticed when the bottle necks are removed from the "system". With a restricted exhaust I dont think you will see any difference with a 4bbl + intake.
A 4bbls is supposed to give you better mileage due to the smaller primeries .
The trick is to keep your foot from opening the secondarys .
