Just taking a quick poll what are some of the best upgrades you have done or want to do to your B2 I converted to manual hubs put a duraspark system in upgraded the carb and bigger tires bumperguard and lots of lights!!! i want to get a small lift. what do you guys think??
Sorry I was just joking I should have said it..But I would get the bigest battery{cold cranknig amps}that you can and make sure all your cables are good and clean.
What kind of lights and how many? I have 9 KC daylighters... 100 watts, 100,000 candlepower each. My voltmeter goes waaaay down when i turn them all on at once. I usually only use 5-7 at a time. You should post some pics in your gallery.
how big of tires are you running or want are you fixing to go to?the height of lift affects the tires you can run..
A good inexpensive small lift is 2''.just coils.liftblocks an an alighnment.will clear 31s no problem,mayyybe 32s
I have 31's on mine, with no lift (no money), and I have no problem with rubbing or anything. If you're just wanting a small lift, just swap out springs from a 91-94 Explorer. If you're wanting to go bigger than that, get an extention for the back spring, or you can get a lowering kit for leaf springs off of a chevy, and it will work too. You didn't say what year you had but if it's 88-90 you can upgrade the TB from an 86-87 ranger or bii, and get more from that. Today I put in MSD ignition, and I'm liking it so far, I'm getting 8.8mm wires next week, can't wait.
i have 31 inch tires and they barley clear the fenders just sitting, when articulating they rub you say rear spings from a 91 to 94 explorer will llift it up? cool.....are there any good vehicles to get a high amp alt? prefribly a one wire that would require little mod's it is a 84 b2
I Have 30' Tires On My '88 Bronco Ii...i Am Looking For A High Watt Amp As Well!!! Did You Say You Can Lift It With Springs From A '93 Explorer? I Just Got Myne Do You Guys Have Any Suggestions? There Is A 2.9l Engine In It With Fuel Injection!!!
Is there any other way to get "up grades" better? ;-)
Heres one.. Lower gears. The 2.9 is down on HP but the litte 6 has got low end torque already.I like the light weight of the v6 and low end torque for the tail.
Bigger engine means bigger tranny,t-case,f/r axles. Sounds like a lot of work to me{I'm lazy}.So if you went a v8 in a 4x4 buy one that comes with a v8.JMHO

That's a valid point. I wonder whether it's possible to adjust the transfer case so that the entire low range becomes lower? As it is there's considerable overlap between low and high ranges and I don't think I've ever gone above fourth gear in low. I just stop and switch to high range.
I've gone both up and down hills where I wished that low range first was lower.
