Alldata.com ?
Alldata.com ?
Is this worth the signup fee ($24.95)? It looks pretty nice, but I have a lot of this info on the collection of Ford factory manuals that I have been amassing. I do not (yet) own the full shop manual though. Are there other sites like this, that may be better (or worse?)
It would be nice to be able to access all of the service bulletins, for one thing.
Does anyone know if they post the factory shop manuals there? I'd like to buy one on a cd, but can't find one for a 1990. The link from ford-trucks.com takes you to manuals but they don't go up to 1990 for Broncos.
Thanks again, J

I have the full versions at work on dvd. I guess its the same thing as the online version but since all the monkeys in the shop destroy any pc put there its a lame pc with a dial up modem. The dvd's work best for us though the monkeys scratch and bite at the dvd's i think.
I think subscribing to their do it yourself one vehicle only deal is a bargain if you dont have an actual service manaul. The info on all data imo is far better than any of the aftermarket service manuals, kelly, hayes, etc, or nothing at all for that matter. If you were to compare it to the factory manual, well there is no comparrison, all data looks like chicken poop standing next to it. There is alot of missing informations in the schematics, ground and connector locations, wiring colors and circuit numbers, ect. It also seems to be mising ample information relating to the circuit opperation of more or less anything, from engine controls, to abs, sir, ect. Other than that, for someone who has never seen the factory manual, all data is god. Kinda in the same way that independent techs think the snap on red brick is god being they have never used a tech 2.
My 2c's.

I signed up for All Data and then went and bought a Haynes manual. Pictures and schematics are much better in the manual. I'm a rookie though. First vehicle I've had that I could tear into and not worry about being able to drive it the next day. '88 5.8L E6.
