1989 f150 idle problems
I have a 1989 f150 300 4x4. removed and replaced motor and now i can not get idle lower than 4000 rpm. I also need the correct vacuum assembly order. Thanks to anyone who can help with this.

Sorry can't help with the vacuum order, but check for a vacuum leak by spraying carb cleaner all over the intake system. 4K RPM (verified with tach?)....can't really be anything else to cause that high an idle. Well, maybe a TPS. But do the spray test first then test the TPS.
Be sure to spray around ALL mating surfaces (EGR/TB/both intakes etc) without spraying inside TB.
