I have an 04 F250 PSD 4wd and put 295's on it over the weekend, which rub slightly at left turn, full lock. I now need to put a leveling kit on it and don't know which one. From what I can tell, there are the mini spring packs that go under the stock front springs and there are new front springs. Which method should I use. I don't do any aggressive off roading, but I do some hunting/fishing that I would need to get back into remote areas. I am currently looking at the Tuffcountry 2.5" kit which has the spring packs, U-bolts and a track bar relocator bracket. I also plan to put the 4" blocks in the rear to bring the rear up once the front is higher. I want to install the kit myself, so that is a consideration. Any input on this would help me greatly.
I have an Edge 2.5 inch leveling kit with an extra 1 3/4" F350 block in the rear. Actually lifted the truck about 3". Rides like it always did and looks good. I put 315's on it and they still look like doughnuts.
Thanks for the reply H, how does your Edge system accomplish the lift? I'm looking at the Tuff Country that does it by adding mini spring packs to the front springs. And I was going to put the 4" blocks on the back as well. The only Edge system I saw used spring hangers, I think, but it was very expensive....
I have a friend that's installed the Edge also. He's running 315's too. Pretty simple install, and he says there's no ride quality change. I'll probably go with that. I've heard of more than one person that's installed the F350 blocks in the rear of their F250. I'll need a source for them when I lift mine. Anyone got any ideas?
The edge uses a spring pack, and longer u-bolts with a bracket for the idler arm (I think). I already had F350 blocks under the rear and just had to add one more on each side to level it out. The kit installed was about $400. Very sanitary job.
I put the tuff country mini spring pack on mine it looks good but rides a little rougher. If I had the money I would opt for the fabtech or edge shackle kit it retains the stock ride by lenthening the shackles and uses the stock springs.tuff country 2.5 = $236.00 from jc whitney. fabtech $470.00. hope this helps you make a more educated guess.
I have the Fabtech, solid piece that drops your existing suspension to retain your stock springs and ride. I run 315's and wanted to level out the truck with no blocks in the rear.
Hey Maxium, is your kit listed as the Fabtech 3" lift kit? I can't find anything on leveling kits from Fabtech. Or maybe I'm just stupid? Did you do the install?

You can go in his gallery where you can see it on his F350 and where he mentions that it is the 3.5" lift kit.
Go to fabtechmotorsports.com and look at the 3.5 spring hanger kit for Ford. I have some pics for the kit where some have had problems on how to exactly install the kit. Other than that it is pretty straight forward and one heavy piece to install.
