Acc Pump Question for 390
Have a 390 and after looking at the Chilton manual it shows that my current Autolite 2100 set up according to the manual is wrong ie (accelerator pump rod in different hole). The manual states that you can change the hole position for different tranny set ups. I have a C6 Automatic at the moment and operate the truck at 5000ft altitude. I get a puff of black smoke when I initially rev the engine and am curious if the accelarator pump stroke may be the cause of my troubles. Timing, plugs, points and wires are new and up to specs. Just looking for any tips before I play with the acc pump stroke rod. Thanks in advance.
