rough idle
once warm my 88 4-wheel drive ranger will idle at 400-1200 rpm. but not always usually after idling for a long period of time, like at a stop light. Its got new fuel pumps and a new filter I'm not sure what else it could be. Also what is the proper warm idle speed.

It should idle at 800-1000 rpms. First check your base speed by disconnecting the IAC and checking the speed warm. You can adjust it using the screw on the TB. If it's OK then clean the IAC. If you still have problems look for vacuum leaks and pull the codes.
