driving along at about 60 coming into some tight turns that i have driven at least a million times. well, usually i take them at about 40-45 because how sharp they are but there wasnt any time to slow down this time becuase i was in la la land. so i kept it at 60 and accelerated through the turn the whole time thinking, please dont let the rear end come loose. my truck never quivvered, hopped or anything. just flew around the curve and i kept going. guess the rear sway bar does help alittle.
gotta love how well these trucks handle.
any one else have some good stories on how there truck has preformed in a harry situation??
Yes, everytime a ricer tries to run with me turns into a "harry situation" . . . . for them anyways You are right, these trucks are great. If your towing a missive trailer, or blowing away the local ricers in town, these trucks can do it all
These trucks handle great. Hard to believe that something this huge can out corner my wife's Escape and still do all it does. Last month pulling my 5er up to Maine right in the middle of NY, someone caused a big rig in front of us to lock it up, we were doing about 50mph at the time. I hit the brakes, truck's anti-locks were trying their darndest and the trailer was locked up, I was looking for the point on the big rig to hit at this time cause I knew we weren't stopping. I glanced over and saw the right lane traffic stop and there was an opening, let go of the brakes, hit the throttle, give it a yank and we shot over into the right lane and got shut down. After making sure everything was okay and putting down some towels for the soiled seats , I got to thinking how great the truck handled all the changes without spreading us over the freeway, jacknifing or losing control. Got a thumbs up from the big rig driver and a thank you from the lady directly behind us that bailed at the same time. Awesome trucks.
