Instrument Cluster Wiring
I got a 1980 cluster on ebay. Digital clock, and woodgrain bezel and trim.
The cluster did not work when I plugged it in. No tach. No turn even in the wrong places. I put the tach in my old cluster for decoration. I don't have the pc plastic for a tach. Mine is red and starts with F1 not F3. F0 on the non working one I purchased. I got a spray can of Flourescent red/orange at Home Depot. Sprayed some in the cap and then used it and a model brush to paint my needles. Turned out great. I put in the clock for decoration too... I need some info. I would like to know where to connect the four clock wires. Black, White, Green, and Blue.
I would like the pinouts for the cluster connector. Haynes makes no sense to me. My wires are all different colors from the Haynes.
I would like pin 1 through 18 written down 1 through 18. The layout in Haynes makes no sense. They are not numbered.
I took the 1980 bezel and peeled off turn and fasten belts and brake and glued them where they belong in my truck. I took the little blue caps off so dash light are viewable in the dark. Those needles sure do glow nice now!
Since I don't know which wire in my connector is coil can I run a new one to back of tach.? Then just hot and ground needed, right?
