I drove my sister's car when she came down to texas. It was a nice car none the less but seem to "Die easy" It is a 5 speed. I had to rev it up to 1,700rpms to let the clutch out.Are the "small" cars just that "powerless" off idel? I figured it would be better than it was taking off because it only wieghs 2542lbs/me and my sister. I guess my Escort would be like that it it was a 5 speed and that I would get used to driving it after a while but till then I'll stick to my 78 F250/ 300 I6 or dad's 2005 4door 4x4 dually 4.10 anti-rear 6 spd CTD dodge
Oh ya one more question on the 05 CTD when it is raining I shift in 4hi and take off so it doesn't spin but When I get going (30-40)mph I shift it out as 4x4 it no longer needed becuase I'm no longer spinning. I push down the clutch and shift to 2hi and it "teeths" in the t-case will it get "smoother" as it brakes in?
His 03 Ford was not like this eather was his 98 dodge 3500 24vCTD 5spd that we put 413,000miles on with out any major work and factory clutch -probly do to the fact that we used 4lo when taking off from a stop with any sizable trailer in tow as he's a hot shot driver and I do drive with him when I'm not in school
Thanks
Dustin
