99 Remote door locks

I just bought a 99 Ford XLT with power door locks. The remote key fobs where gone, did all 99 XLT trucks with power locks have the remote feature.

i have a 99' also, no key fobs, no remote module to work it. just buttons on the inside of door and my trusty key.

I have a 99 f-150 XLT and have the fobs but I am not sure if all XLT's came with it but I am sure your local Ford dealer could answer that question for you.

Thanks! The ownwers manual talks like all 99 XLT was equipped with remote but I wasnt sure. I'll call the dealer tomorrow befor I buy fobs.

Cycle the key in the ignition from off to run 8 times in 10 seconds. If the door locks cycle after the 8 turns of the key then you have remote keyless entry.

I have a 99 lariet f-350 dually that When i try to program new remotes,i did not have one,it will only program one.Is there a memory that after four are programmed it will not do more..If so is there a way to erase it so I can have at least two remotes...Thanks Wendell

The owner's manual says that up to 4 may be programmed.
I'm not positive but I believe that your dealer can reset this with their WDS or NGS scan tool. If you take it in make sure you take all your remotes along.
