Hello to all.I would like to thank all who helped with my first post reguarding having a 428 original engine dealer installed. From everything I can gather this may be true. The engine tag and fender emblems lead me to believe this could be possible. The only questioning factor is my Vin #F25HKD06794.Is there any way to verify what dealer this truck came from and if any modifications were made? Thanks to all.
Unless it was something installed by Ford at a Ford assembly plant there won't be any supplemental info on the warranty/VIN tag as to the particular retail dealer that sold the truck or what they in turn added to satisfy the needs of the end customer.
If you're lucky and have any of the original dealer paperwork, that can always give you some clues to certain things. And sometimes they stamped the owner's manuals with the dealer contact info, but often times they didn't.

customersaskford.com/Kate/KanaForm.asp?SourceSite=Ford (add your w's at the front)
If you go to this website, fill out the form as completely as possible. Also if you add all of your Data tag information in the remarks section, FORD will send you a build sheet(that's what I call it anyway)... it will have the information already given by 4x4 Subaru plus all the information from the data plate...which includes your DSO and may explain the 428. Good Luck.
Thanks to all for the replies and information.I receintly bought this truck and am thinking about restoring it.I will definately check the web site and any further information is definately appreciated. Thanks again!
