Valentine Messages....
There was a girl that really touched a lot of peoples hearts there, and she left for a while, but recently came back.
When I saw her name on the boards I wrote this:
Ever sweet, and always true
Such a one that breaks a heart
So sensitive to all we do
I could not bear to see you part...
But now you have come home again
I don't know for how long, but then -
While you are here I shall cherish you
For all the kind and thoughtful things you do
If anyone knows someone that poem fits, make a card and put it in it. And if you have a special message for someone here, or a wish for valentines day, let's swap valentines then...
~ Tis the season....
But she's a nice little gal, and deserved every last line of it.
At times we get so caught up in our stuff in our little worlds that we forget about the small things that make it all worthwhile. And when that happens a tiny thing like reaching out and just saying; "I like you, you're good people" can mean the whole world to someone.
I think that's what valentines day is all about, in a way. Completely aside from young lovers meeting their own true love for the first time...

How would you like to have ten years invested in a marriage and have that happen?
I would be forced to say you got off LIGHT, because there are people out there that will marry for advantage, and "SURF" the singles crowd (and even married, come to think of it) every chance they get....
I have seen them.
So my advice is to be glad it happened before it really mattered.
You WILL meet someone else...
And my second bit of advice is to TAKE A HARD LOOK next time.
-If it seems like you have to spend a lot of money to impress:
Then it's about MONEY, and NOT you.
Ditto influential friends, and the rest of the nine meters...
When 2 hearts truly touch, and see something alike, it is unmistakeable. A soul-mate is the ideal we strive for.
When you have to WORK to stay in a relationship - the other half of it has most likely decided to USE YOU, and eventually trash you anyway.
Or at the very least, they want you to be someone you are NOT. And that's the one to be the most aware of - because years of bitterness can happen before the resulting split happens, each feeling guilty in different ways...
Much better to be sure in the first place.
IT IS MORALLY WRONG TO EXPECT ANOTHER PERSON TO BE WHO YOU want THEM TO BE. That's not your choice -it's THEIRS. You can offer suggestions, and advice. You can guide another human being. But you can't live their life for them, you can only be in charge of your own.
Don't get in a relationship because you feel you have to impress anyone, or that you HAVE TO HAVE IT. You don't.
It's far smarter to wait for the right one, an idea that has been cast away I think - judging by the 50% divorce rate in the USA at the moment.
So I have found.
That is why I am always ME. And if anyone doesn't care for my style, may the door hit them in the behind...
