Edge 4" VS 4.5"

Why would I choose one of these lifts over the other excluding the cost? Truck is a 04 V10 CC LWB 4.30's I'd want to run 315's...

one is a spring lift one is a hangar lift, the hangar lift allows you to retain stock spring and ride, the spring kit replaces the stock spring and can allow for more travel, but due to more arc may bit just a little more bouncy then the stock springs, get a good aftermarket shock to control it and youll be set.

Pretty much what jetjock said.

If you want the lift without any change in spring rate the 4.5" is the way to go.......most popular among people who primarily are on road.

The 4" springs are soft and flex fairly well.....I'd probably go this route if you go off roading quite often.

Personally I run the 4" and 4.5" together and am happy with both.

Thanks for the info, kind of what I expected. Does the 4" spring move the axle center at all? I ordered my truck with the HD front suspension not the X springs but probably the ones just lighter than that. It rides a bit bouncy already, hard to quantify this but would the 4" be like that? Also, since my turck is a V10 would I end up with more than 4" lift and if so how much rear block would be needed? Thanks again...

I think that the 4" springs shift the center pin forward a bit....I know my tires sit farther forward in the wheel well now vs. the old 4" Ranchos I had.

The bounce would be taken care of with properly valved shocks.

Since the springs are designed for the weight of the PSD you'd get a little more lift with the V10. I'd say you'd probably need a single 5-6" rear block to keep the front end from looking higher...unless that's the look you're after.

Hope this helps.
