The vacuum canister location depends on the plant it was built at. It is either on the RH fender apron below the air cleaner or under the fender inner above the fender apron just behind the air cleaner. I don't have vacuum diagram, but there are two ports on the engine. The big one goes to the brake booster. The other one is smaller and comes out and splits. One goes over to the LH fender apron to the vapor management valve. The rest of the split routes around behind the engine to the RH side and into another split. One side goes to the fuel pressure regulator usrally, and the other side of the split will go to the vacuum reservoir. From the reservoir one line will come out and split. One side goes to the climate control vacuum harness rear the blower motor and the other side will connect to the heater hose vacuum motor that shuts off the heater during a/c operation. If you have a 4x4, an additional line will go from the reservior to the 4x4 module located on the back side of the radiator support below and in front of the air cleaner. If you have vacuum lines going between the fender aprom and the fender inner, the reservoir hard to get to. You have to remove the apron.
Thank you. Would it be possible to add a second canister? I have an after market cruise control, and I'm having problems with it losing speed. It's vacum controlled, Do I need more vacum?
