As you can see from my gallery,I take enormous pride in my 91 Bronco. As to wax, I have tried a lot of brands. For the past month I have been using Mequiers "Tech wax" and by far it is the BEST. I t goes on easier comes off easier and the shine is breath taking. With other brands I HAVE to rewax at least every two weeks but not with this, it lasts. The most important step is to use a good cleaner-wax first to remove fly crap and such. If anyone would like to have a lifetime of other waxes from Zymol to Mothers, just stop by my garbage can by Tuesday which is pickup day.
You may laugh, but ive had alot of success with good old Turtle Wax. It comes in the can with the green paste and the circular applicator. It goes on smoothly, comes off easily, and with some buffing gives a shine that I find appealing. I have only had to use it twice a year, and it really repels the rain. Its cheap, but it works, so ill keep using it.
I was just told this once but I heard turtle wax was bad for your paint, I can not remeber what ingredient it was but someone told me that in the long run it will cause it to fade. I am not sure if this is true or not, just what I was told.
Ive tried quite a few of the different brands, Meguires, Turtle Wax, Zymol, etc......abd the one I find the easiest to use AND remove is "The Wax Shop" products. My uncle turned me on to these about 15 years ago.....and to this day they work the best for me. They are a little harder to find, you cant get them at WalMart, Trak, etc but try a local detail supply shop.
