There are aftermarket kits available but they do take a bit of electrical and mechanical knowledge. For the locks, you will have to install an actuator inside the door that connects to the lock rod, then you will need to wire it. Also will need to install the lock switches in each door. For the windows, install motor and wiring and switches. Now the motors will connect to the gear that the handle crank uses. They aren't that bad to install really, but for first timers...it can be quite a project. You will need to drill holes though the inner door panel to mount the motor and actuators, feed wiring through the boot that attaches from the door to the fender. Locate power sources, cut holes in your door panel for the switches...etc. I used to do those for a living and after awhile it was pretty easy...but the first ones can take a better part of a day if you haven't tackled anything like that before.
Thanks BillyBob...I haven't don't this before but have done alot of automotive wiring on jeeps and hotrods. I was thinking about factory window motors and door panels and maybe locks also. Just not sure if the wiring harness is there or not or if I need to grab it from the wrecking yard also.

how can i find the motors that attatch to the manual door gear like u posted billybob ? im doin a power doorlock/window conversion on my 03 xl sport but im using the factory doorpanel adn switches.. all i need is the power gem module and some harness's , ive already installed actuators .. just gotta worry about the power window part of it after all that other stuff
By the way.....should you decide to do an OEM style install...(The link I gave you earlier also sells OEM), here is a great link for the installation. Step by step with pictures.
yah i think im goin OEM.. those aftermarket ones seem a bit high priced and i can do it all pretty cheap .. i have a friend that works at ford as the service parts manager so thats where im getting the new gem box.. and door panels with switches... harness's from junk yards for 30 each (dealer wants 228 for each one) and then the window regulators and stuff probably both for 50 (tahst how much i found them for and actually one the auction, but the dude sent someone else my front window regulators w/motors to someone else and had the rear ones left so it was a big mess but i got my money back) but im sure i can find some at a good price again...
