Oh man... Im looking for a 79, but the same idea as you! I found one about a mile away from where I live it was perfect. It was a sign that I was supposed to have it. The damn thing sold before I could grab it. I learned a valuable lesson that day. I cant wait for the day that I do a ground up build on a 79 Crew Cab 4X4. You can bet that will be one mean rig when im done!!

Nice find! Its long bed and as far as that goes I would rather a short bed, but I will take what I can get.

But the big thing is the 2wd. I want to invest more $$$ and time into building an engine and making the interior nicer then any Caddy, rather then converting it into a 4X4.

you could stretch the cab and put a short bed on it... that would be different =)I'll keep my eyes open

You know, I kinda like that idea of stretching the cab. The rear door always seemed about 3 inches short. If I could add a foot to the cab I dont think it would make the truck look bad. If you look, the part that makes the longbed look long and ugly is the space between the wheel and the cab.

I have ot stop thinking baout this.. I get too worked up
