Fiesta Orange
When I bought my old 71, some 25 plus years ago, it was orange...I believe it is called fiesta orange....Cannot find anything on the net about this color, but when I had it repainted, I stuck with the original color, for obvious reasons....Are there any other trucks out there this color....Or is this just an Okie thing.....I think I saw trucks this color like up until about 74, however, they were few and far between.....!

I used to own a 72 that was orange. We had a descussion on another forum I belonge to about it. I don't know if they figured it out or not. There was mention of Calypso Coral, chrome yellow and some other color. I will email him and ask if he figured it out. I was part of that discussion and No..I haven't fully figured it out...I just remember the paint code "3"...but then again mine is a 1969. Check my photos and see if it matches your truck. I am thinking of using Competition Orange for my 69 when I repaint...it is a modern orange that you see on the Mustangs. There is also a Grabber Orange that was used on the 70's Mustangs. I am not sure of the difference....

That is the same color as mine mopower...sorry you hate the color...I kinda like it. Did not want to change the original color, because there is so much to change...My interior and everything is in good shape so I figured it was an old truck, why change it now....Most folks who see it don't think it is original....If Ford could live with it so can I....lol...Thanks for the response......!

well...I am thinking about painting the confederate flag on top of mine..
Just kidding. I think that bright orange color is kick A$$...how many orange autos do you see around? Lately, just Mustangs. A few old Novas maybe. Why be like everyone else and be red, blue, white or black?
Actually, all you guys with orange trucks..please go ahead and paint them different colors so mine is the only one around that is orange.

Yeah qman, I kindda dig mine too....after all the ladies like it....! I am only the second owner of this old dog...so mostly I knew where every little ding and dent that was in it came from...even found some antique toy in some real strange place that were dropped there by my two sons years ago...I don't drive my old truck much..I am probably doing John Q. Public a favor....there are a couple of really sharp older truck here in this little town....Don't know the owners however....Regards

My orange beast isn't pretty. Its a work truck that I've brought back from the dead and it has some dings. My wife always wants to paint the vehicles and I usually just ignore her. But she suggested painting it a creamsicle orange. Now I hate orange creamsicles but that color sounds like it might be OK. You see a lot of older vehicles painted in pastels and they really look good. I'm seriously considering this color.
