I have NIS 2005 (just upgraded from NIS 2003 a couple weeks ago) and I do not have the email issue you describe. Sounds like a browser setting.
As for your share/ website, click on the NIS icon on your upper browser toolbar and then click on 'web contents options'. You should be able to see how the NIS is handling that website.
A couple years ago when I first got NIS 2003, I had problems on one forum. I could not post unless I disabled NIS. I went rounds with the webmaster but finally proved to him it was a faulty setting on his end. After I researched it and told him exactly what setting he had wrong, he fixed it and I no longer had issues with his website. I'm just saying that sometimes the problem can be poorly written code at the website.
thanks for you input guys but i am still having trouble. still cant connect to the network. i have my internet explorer window open and running and when i click on shareaza to open it. i just cant connect to their network to download stuff. i have no idea what to do to fix it. i wish i was more savy with the pc
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to set up a port for shareaza through NIS? We use something similar where I work, and I had to configure port permissions for it. Also, if you're behind a router, that might have something to do with it too, but from the looks of it, it worked just before you installed NIS, so that shouldn't be an issue
