My buddy has a 1996 F-350 crew 4X4 long box with a 460. when he is driving down the road(sorry, I just saw a toymota commercial, makingme sick) the truck dies. radio, lights, gauges, everything dies. This happened twice. Once the truck restarted after about three seconds. It is an auto tranny. This was while traveling at 60 mph. The other time it quick he was climbing a small hill at 45, truck died, and didn't restart(two slow?) He cranked and cranked and cranked Nothing happened. let it sit a few, cranked again and started right up. Other problems, when he goes out in the morning to start, cranks and cranks, nothing. Waits a minute, cranks and starts right up. new performance starter, he is thinking checking grounds, but I can't imagine how everything would just die. Doesn't make sense. So any experience help would be great. Thankyou.

headlights, everything dies, but again this cranking and not starting, and then all of the sudden starting, is wierd. Ignition coil? short? would something like that kill all power? Thanks
