Vietnam era POW/MIA bracelets who had or still has one, Is the person returned, MIA or unknown and what style is your bracelet?
I purchased mine in the spring of 1970 and it is stainless steel.
Capt. David Smith 3-16-69 MIA as of this date!
It now sits on top of my computer monitor but has always been on the nightstand beside my bed after I took it off in 1977. I stopped wearing it because of work hazards of wearing metal bracelets.
Not the same, But, I had a Montagnard Gold Braclet in support of all the indigeous tribes that helped support our troops. It broke one day because they use 24 KT instead of 10 or 14kt. So it is in my jewelry box. I wasn't old enough to get an orginal POW braclet, the Montagnard was handed down to me. I appreciate your support and anyone elses who supports any of our men. My cashier at the local grocery store has one one her wrist and has adorned it since the War. I know they had a big come back in the 1980's , I am afraid that alot people have forgotten Vietnam, it's people and our people- simply because it is now so long ago. Because my grandfather was a famous "spook" during that period of our history, I was fortunate enough to meet and attend alot of POW/MIA meets of all types. Not to be political but no one should ever forget our soldiers, whether they fought and returned , didn't return , or weren't always viewed as politically correct. You can never turn your back on anyone who is willing to fight for "OUR" country. Again, thanks for your support!!!!!!!!! I always say to people that hold off the wall political values- alot of people died so you can think and verbally express yourself that way- better respect them.
