Chevy Silverado = Yuk
The loaner they gave me via Enterprise rent-a-car was a Silverado pickup. It was a 1/2 ton or maybe even smaller. Looked bigger than a ranger but smaller than my old F-150.
Drove OK but had pretty spungy suspension and the brakes while working well had a strange feel to them. After about 30 seconds inside the cab I was convinced that I had totally made the right choice in going with the Ford for that reason alone. It was quite a bit smaller than my 150 and definitely much smaller than my 250.
Just all around Icky. I will be quite happy to turn it in tomorrow and pick up my truck.
They claim that the oil leak was not the rear main seal but rather an injector oil seal. Of course they claimed last time that it was a front seal and that wasn't it so we'll see if they nailed it this time.

Speak'n of Chevy...
After tooling up, training, and bending wrenches on a fleet of Ford trucks and cars for last 30 years, or parent company is now trying to enforce 'their' will on our end of the corporation.. They want us to start buying/replacing our Ford fleet with CHEVY'S. ...Their cheaper... Wonder why!?!? We have a few older GMC service trucks (gas and diesel) that NO ONE will drive, and are 'rooting' to the parking lot.. They've been sitting for about a year now, some longer.. One is 'sway backed' from carring/lifting loads with the truck crane.. Tried to sell them, but their on the books for too much money/repairs.. I told them they must be outta their minds, and the cost/time involved to switch would be a total waste.. Not to mention the inferior quality of the heavy weight class.. Couple of times when the 03 was in for warranty, they put me in a GM buzz box.. Sure missed the SD when it wasn't there.. Should we have to go the GM route for fleet vehicles, it's won't be hard for me to say.... Told you so!!! We've taken the Dodge and Chevy road a few times over the years, (now being dictated by a higher power) and they 'never' could hold up to the severe duty/conditions that our crews can punish them with... May have to hire a couple more guys to take on the extra 'new' work... There's nothing like a S/D..

I think Chevy/GMC are more expensive than Ford SD. A comparably equipped truck as mine was in excess of 53K.
