Charging / Voltage Issues

At idle, my truck is only showing like 10V (about 1/4" from the 8, below the n) it never goes below that, but as soon as it gets over like 1200rpm it holds charge fine, just at idle it goes straight to that mark. My one window motor won't even go up unless I have the rpm above 2500. Is this just bad grounds, a bad battery, bad alternator or what? Any Ideas? Thanks.

Coluld be any of those. First thing is to clean all the connectors. That's the cheapest and easiest. I'll share this with you. I was having a similar problem. Went through 3 batteries over about a 2 year period. My original battery died and then about 6-8 mos later the new one did and then another new one after another 6-8 mos. I always noticed the alt charging at less than 14 volts. I think the alternator was loosing it. My battery died again about 2 mos ago and when I started it the alternator was dead. Replaced the alternator and now it charges at 14 volts and haven't had a problem with the battery since. I think that my alternator had been dying for the past 2-3 years and that was causing my batteries to die over 6-8 mos.
