I noticed while installing a regulated return line that I had motor oil in the fuel rail coming from the passenger side head!! Is this an indication of a bad injector O-ring? I notice that I seem to be down on power, and more smoke than normal for my truck. I am about to go to the local International dealer and get replacements o-rings, but don't want to tear into it if that is not the problem. Thanks for any help
Fordnut I would also say it is your injector o rings but if you would like to know for sure you can pull off your High pressure oil line going to that head and blow air into the head and see if you can hear air bleeding off into the head.
Thanks cookie. Now of course it looks as though it may have been a false alarm. I am beginning to think it was some of my Veg Oil that got "fried" in what was previously a dead end. I went out and was about to stat tear down, and low and behold not a lick of anything other than good ol' #2. although truck does still seem down on power, and more smoke than normal

That's usually an airflow problem....plugged air filter, or possibly a turbo problem, boost leak, etc. Could still be an o-ring too....how did your fuel filter look? Have your EGT's been higher than normal? Any symptoms other than slightly less power and slightly more smoke.....maybe just a winter blend fuel mixed with the VO?
