Hello, E40D problems
Hello new here, mostly trying to figure out how to fix my new Ford E-350 7.3 diesel van. Flashing OD light, wont shift to take off, I have to shift in manually. I has a E40D transmission. Any suggestions?????

Codes Read w/paperclip
Read the codes, got a 57, 63, 91,92,93,94,99. The van is a 93 E350 1ton that was left sitting for like 2 years. It has 245,000 with the motor rebuilt at 214,000. The tranny was rebuilt at 162,000 and a banks was added for towing. The transmission guy thinks maybe the transmission is unplugged, or mice cause I did find rat droppings in the van. I gotta look it over and check all connections. It slips a little, but otherwise it runs great for a non powerstroke diesel. Ill post what I find. It'll go for sale when I get done. Thanks

For Sale 1993 E-350
Found it, transmission was unplugged. Remember, look at all wires before you go throwing parts at the problem, you gotta find the problem before you can fix it and put on new parts. Now the van is fine and up for sale. If interested, 1993 Ford E-350 one ton, lwb, pw,ps, cruise, a/c cold, new heater core, new batteries, trans cleaned, new oil, radiator flush and tested, breaks cleaned, inspected and lubed, insulated and carpeted back, maroon with a bench. 7.3 Diesel non powerstroke. 244k rebuilt at 214, trans and motor. asking $4600 Im in Huntsville Alabama.
