i have some on my doors, there is a place here where i live that you can send your parts and they will "dip" in a carbon fiber looking finish. ill try to get the name if your interested..
i just found a site a while back..www.liquidcustom.com they have carbonfiber and wood dash, door, and wheel inserts too. kinda pricey, but i think it would be worth it. not sure if its quite what you are looking for, but its worth a mention
I have an 03" XLT sport package. The dark shadow grey version. Mine has a all black with some grey interior. It came with carbon fiber on the doors and center console. It is not on the door and window switches but just above that. There are really clean and fit with now edges like the stick on stuff. I baught a CF steering wheel overlay and I thaught is was poor quality because of the hard edges. So you might want to see if Ford will sell those pieces for the door.
personally i like the wood trim better..but thats just me. i do have a question though, is carbon fiber strong, or does it have more of a brittle quality to it? Just wondering.
I thought a fuzz-***** hanging from the visor, a picture of the Virgin Mary on the gauge cluster (to cover up the ck. eng. light of course), a horn that plays "La Cucaracha" and my last name, in huge 6" calligraphy script, across the back window was 'mexican.'
But then again, what do I know, I'm not mexican, I'm mexican-american. Please don't make such broad statments about other peoples race, or their disposition to truck accessories!
like i told another person in another topic..the good part about customization is that you are always right, no matter what anyone else thinks..if you like carbon fiber..which i kinda do also, its growing on me..then go for it..and enjoy that v10 power.
Diesel Smoker,
I just did a search using "carbon fiber dash inserts" as my keywords and came up with a TON of hits. So, if all else fails, give it a shot on your favorite search engine and tool around a bit... Ya never know what yer gonna git...!
Good luck!
Daryl

gimme a friggin break. so we are all worried about being politicly correct now
Mexican -American means that he was born here from Mexican parents and he is proud of his heritage.
On the other hand, in the case of a "hillbilly", since his mother is at the same time his aunt, and his father is his cousin, and his brother is probably his nephew, it’s really hard to trace his origins, and that creates an "identity crisis" that most of them suffer.....<O></O>

And I hope that since your suggestion is not to worry about politically correctness, you won't be offended about my theory.... <O></O>
