weatherstripping

I have got new weatherstripping for my 1979 Ford F-150. I have the window channels and the belt weatherstrip pieces. It did not come with any directions (of course) and i was wondering what the easiest way to replace it was. I have heard of unbolting the glass and I was wondering where the bolts are to do this. Plus i have noticed when u roll the window down the glass does not stay in the on its way down in the door. It is on the inside of the groove or w/e u wanna call it. It doesnt look right and i was wondering what i need to do to fix it also.

You have to gut the door to replace the wind seals for the glass. This includes removing the glass itself to access the peice that resides on the exterior side of the glass. if the window isn't staying in the channel, chances are replacing the seals will help. If you're referring to it not staying in the channel that resides in the vent window, you should replace that wind seal as well.

Oh my Gosh Josh!
Changing the door's rubber and felt does not require complete dissassembly.
If you have to change the vent rubber, then you got to go all the way.
Remove the door panel.
Loosen the rear track. It may be loose already if the window is bouncing around.
Pull the felt out from the bottom. It may break into pieces. Dig it out with a screwdriver. Roll the window all the way down and loosen the window regulator bolts. The window should be quite loose by now. Get a spackle knife or other broad blade tool and gently start to work the window rubbers out, first one side and then the other. Install the new rubbers carefully. Do not bend or twist them. Then feed the new window felts from the bottom, up the tracks. This could prove difficult if you haven't loosened the rear track enough. Once the felt is starting to stick out the top where you can reach it, hold the felt around the window's edge and roll the window up. This will pull the felt to the top. Readjust the rear track and your set. I have never used glue of any sort and do not recommend it. I have had to use a dry lube on the felts to get the window to move smoothly. I've done three trucks previous to this post.
Consider it,

Well thanks for all the replies but I guess it was not necessary lol. After i posted i decided to go out and mess with it and i got everything in and working properly. The windows were once tinted and the rear track was not adjusted properly so i messed with it and i solved the problem. A few of your guy's tips may have made it easier but i got all the seals in without having to loosen or take out anything. I got all the window channels and the belt weatherstrip installed. I only skinned my thumb from the joint all the way down too my hand in the process lol. Needless to say i learned to use gloves when messing around those sharp edges lol. Thanks for all the help guys. I have learned a lot of things for the next time i do this. Which will be on a old 73 Chevy (ya i know i dont want to do it either) but im gonna be a nice guy. Thanks guys.

Oh my Gosh Josh,
I forgot to tell you,..... wear gloves when you do this, so you won't skin up your hands!
PS Get rid of the Chevy.

I did get rid of the chevy for the 79 but my dad decided to keep it around. Instead he got rid of his 93 ranger which i still dont understand why he would do that. but he did atleast get a 2001 super duty.
