New explorer ?
I am just curious if they got rid of the nbx package on the explorers for 2005. If so can you get skid plates that fit the 2005 as a alternative? Also is there anything going to be changed on the 2006 explorers like going to the new 3v 4.6? The wife wants a explorer and to get rid of her 2000 focus so I am not in a rush to buy, just want to get all the research done now.

There is no NBX trim line for the 05 Explorer, and I don't believe skid plates are available from the factory. On the plus side, all 05 Explorers include AdvanceTrac w/ Roll Stability Control standard. I think most of the other updates are minor, like the CD player also being able to play MP3 CD-R's. I don't know anything about what may be planned for 06.
